Ok, Linda...I'll try.
1. In my Senior year in High School, I played the lead in "Brigadoon" (which was originally a singing production, not a dancing one thank heavens), and the Senior class play "June Wedding". Unfortunately, they were in rehearsal at the same time and were presented a week apart. I kept getting the names of the leading men mixed up...one was Billy and the other, Tommy. Fortunately it all came together at show time..loved it.
2. I remember going to piano lessons in San Francisco when I was 6...on the streetcar, by myself! Catholic welfare paid for my lessons...they were $1.50. A couple of years later, I went to live with my Mom and Brother after having lived in foster homes for my first 8 years.
3. I remember Lori learning to read Braille when she was little (9 or 10 I think) so that she could "read" in bed after lights out..(after almost burning the house down with her little lamp under the covers) I remember Debbie going after a bee on our front lawn, using the heel of my good shoes...she'd been stung and said "I'm lookin' for the one that stung me, and when I find him, I'm gonna eat him!" :) I remember Danny overturning our car with four teenagers inside, and nobody getting a scratch!
I remember Linda and Danny coming to get me at a neighborhood park carnival. I'd been working one of the booths(something about milk jugs..hey it was over 40 years ago). Anyway, I shushed them away and as they turned I saw the back of their heads were both bloody! They'd fallen off the merry-go--round..I felt like demon-mom at that point. I remember John telling a concerned teacher, who was trying to help him find something interesting to do since he was ahead of his class and bored, that he wanted to build a bed. I remember Wendy undergoing repeated blood tests and xrays as a tiny tot with that awful brace on her little leg...never crying.
4. I hated History in school but love it now. I have a very inquisitive mind and will ferret out every detail of something that interests me, often to the chagrin of those around me.
4. I have a passion for animals and politics, alternative medicine, nature, babies and books....not necessarily in that order. I treasure meaningful conversations about almost anything.
5. I really have to watch assuming what's in the mind of others. I tend to jump to conclusions...big time.
OK....I tag everybody who hasn't already done this little exercise :)

Hmmm...just realized that I have two number 4's on last post. Blame it on advancing age...or not paying attention. :)
I love the new look. So scary to think about a 6 year old on a bus in SF, was definitely a different time.
We will have to talk about editing before you expose your senior moments for everyones amusement.
You are so talented, singing, piano...why didn't I get those genes?
Love you
Linda, you have talents of a different nature, lots of them...wish I had some of yours too :)
Mom you need to stop being so modest.yes you do have many other talents but you have a beautiful singing voice(she would never admit it but I have heard her sing to the babies and they are always mesmerized.)and you can play the piano as well which the babies love to do with you also.Thank you grandma for the beautiful talents that you pasted down to her(as well as nurturing her natural talents). I love the new blog and thank you for sharing those things about you.love you.
Whoops...I goofed. The kids that fell off the Merry-go-round were Linda and John, not Danny. Linda was watching John, he fell off first and she tried to help him :)
Those were really fun to read Gramma. I love hearing about when your kids were young and when you and Uncle Ray were little. Things just keep changin so fast... I like to hear what I missed out on. Thanks again for the facts:)
You're welcome, Amy...it's fun for me too, tripping down memory lane. There are just so many memories, many of them wonderful. So happy that we're all blogging...I love reading about you guys too. :)
Thanks for the nice words, Sarah...glad you like the new blog. I just mentioned to Linda this morning how good yours looks too...love that it takes up the width of the page...how'd you do that?
I wish that I knew...I think that it may have been the template that I choose. Sorry, wish I could be more helpful.
Wow, Mom - I'm really glad I don't have a blog now. You mentioned the single thing I came up with for me (the burning bedroom thing). You do have many talents, and so do you, Linda. I've heard you sing, too, and your voice is beautiful. Also, just juggling your schedule and remaining sane are major talents. Love you.
Ok, whoever marked "other" on my poll needs to explain...see rules :) Come out of the shadows.
