Happy Veterans' Day

A friend sent me this yesterday, and I think it's such a neat idea.

"
When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to
this address. If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of
how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so
much would get.

When you are making out your Christmas card list this year, please
include the following:

A Recovering American soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue, NW
Washington,D.C. 20307-5001

If you approve of the idea, please pass it on to your e-mail list. Thank
you!

Remembering those who served:
  • Alfred Knechtle WWII (Army Active Duty)
  • Lester Mack (Nevada Air National Guard)
  • Daniel J. Becan Korea (Marine Corps Active Duty)
  • William L. Brackett WWII (Navy Active Duty)

I think that is a really great idea also. It is sad that we take what these people went through and are going through for granit. It is a good way to show our appreciation.

This is a really good idea - I'll definitely add it to my list. Jim and Rachael also served, as did Lori Suitor's stepson, Chris; and our nephew, Ian, is serving now.
